As the buyers and sellers gather for the election 2007 “trade”, let all the people be mindful that it will not be open to the highiest bidders; rather, let him who is most qualified be granted the honour to serve. In the days ahead as the traders begin to display their wares, the people of Nigeria should not be overwhelmed by the nuiances of crayfish sellers that have nothing to offer but deceit and empty promises. Saddam Sentenced to Hang
Iraqi strong man Saddam Hussein and his co-defendants was convicted a few minutes ago. Saddam got the ultimate sentence “to hang” and his co-defendants recieved various terms from death to lives and years in prison for some.
It will be recalled that this trial has spanned over nine months with over thirty-nine court sessions. The verdict today have been recieved with mixed reactions from various quarters in the Iraqi conflict. There are claims in certain quarters that it is a “farce” while others feel justice has been done.

Events in the state are still unfolding, everyone seems to be at loss; however, the assumed winners and losers are not yet resting and where this will take us remains a guess. Let us hope it will not go the way of the other states with botched impeachment bids. Read more
How Did We Get Here?
What a question? Indeed, we have to ask this question at this point in our walk towards nation-hood as a people. The times we are in as a people demands that we do stop and ponder to ask those probing questions that awakens onces consciousness. The way and manner, we the people of Nigeria in and outside government; home or away have conducted ourselves toward nation building leaves much to be desired.
Hence, it is my desire to open up this debate by asking the above pertinent question with the hope that as we talk and write; we will open up ourselves as well as commit our time and resources; involve ourselves in any way we can no matter how little; then and only then can we truely be perfect examples to others of what it takes to rise and be counted. Thus, we have not only talked the talk, but indeed have walked the walk.
